FAQs
What is the cost of Invisalign in Hamilton?
We currently offer an Invisalign package for $4,995. That includes the initial consultation, whitening or a WaterPik, and the retainers. You can easily pay for that using our 0% finance option and our easy payment plan.
How long does Invisalign treatment take?
It depends on each case but Invisalign treatments can last from six months up to 24 months. The average treatment time is between 9 to 12 months.
Can Invisalign fix my smile?
Invisalign can correct many issues that will correct your smile but it doesn’t fix everything. It can correct the most common problems like crowded teeth, gaps between teeth, overbite, an underbite, open bite, and crossbite. Those with more complicated issues may do better with braces.
Is Invisalign treatment painful?
Invisalign isn’t painful at all. It involves wearing clear aligners up to 22 hours a day. That may be uncomfortable for a few days until you are used to them but it isn’t painful. You switch out aligners about every two weeks and that isn’t painful either as they are trays.
How often do I need to wear my Invisalign aligners?
It is recommended that you wear them for 22 hours a day, only taking them out to eat, drink, and brush your teeth for optimum results.
What are the main differences between Invisalign and traditional braces?
The biggest difference is that you must have a strong commitment level to use Invisalign. Braces stay on your teeth so you don’t have to take them in and out, clean them, and change out trays like Invisalign. Invisalign requires more discipline to stay with the program.
Will my insurance cover Invisalign treatment?
That depends on your insurance company. Some will pay for it as it would for traditional braces while others will pay a portion. Some won’t pay for Invisalign treatments but will pay for traditional braces.
Can I eat and drink with Invisalign aligners?
No, you take the aligners out to eat and drink. You put them back in afterward. You must also take them out to clean them and do your daily oral health care routine.
How do I clean my Invisalign aligners?
You should brush them with a soft-bristled toothbrush that is separate from the one you use for your teeth. You will want to use a clear liquid soap to remove debris that will accumulate. Rinse them well with clear water.
What happens if I lose an Invisalign aligner?
Call us. We will tell you what to do, which can include moving to the next tray if you are ready to switch out anyway or ordering a new aligner.
