Depending on the patient’s needs and desires, they may be conscious or under general anesthesia during the procedure.

Regardless of the technique used, oral surgery is only conducted with great care and forethought, as it requires a significant amount of skill and time to execute delicate procedures within someone’s mouth without injuring any of their teeth or gums.

The answer to this question varies greatly, depending on the level of oral surgery. Some stitches can heal within days or weeks, while others may take months before the wounds are fully healed.

Patients are advised to avoid strenuous activity the first few days after surgery, but this is standard protocol.

However, it’s a good practice for a patient to take a few days off from work so as not to put any unnecessary strain on the surgical area and cause discomfort for themselves. And of course, if there are any health complications, they should contact their doctor immediately to avoid wasting time or worsening their condition.

Our in-house surgeons do not offer this service, however we are happy to refer you to an external surgeon if the need arises. Our clinic also doesn’t perform sinus lifts, facial, soft tissue, or jaw surgeries.
